Email is getting smarter - Google's Priority Inbox

Posted on August 31, 2010

If you run a business website, you probably get too much email.  Here at Siteclick, we get hundreds of emails everyday and we know what it feels like to feel bogged-down when you see your over-flowing inbox.

But it seems Google is coming to the rescue again with their new 'Priority Inbox' feature that launches in beta this week.

The Priority Inbox can take all of your business email, or messages you get through your website, and sort it so the most important messages are brought to your attention first.  It's kind of like having a personal assistant go through your email and tell which ones are the most important.

Also, the longer you use it, the more it 'learns' about what emails are the most important to you.  It will get more accurate the more you use it - saving you time and potential angst.

The beta of Google Priority Inbox is rolling out this week.

You can read more about it on the BBC Website ('Google's priority inbox aims to conquer e-mail overload') or on Google's Blog ('Email overload? Try Priority Inbox').
